Kevin Hart’s pursuit of youthful activities has resulted in a temporary stint in a wheelchair, as shared by the movie star himself in a video posted on his verified Instagram account.
The caption of the video reads, “I got to be the dumbest man alive!!!!!”
With a mix of humor and expletives, Hart recounted the incident where he attempted to race his friend, former NFL player Stevan Ridley, in a 40-yard dash and ended up injuring himself in the process.
Hart, humorously acknowledging the reality of turning 40, urged those above that age bracket to respect the limitations that come with it. He admitted to being in a wheelchair due to his pursuit of “young man stuff.”
The comedian revealed that he had made a bet with Ridley, thinking he could outpace him in the sprint. However, his attempt ended in injury. “I tore my lower abdomen, my abductors are torn,” he disclosed. “I don’t know what that is but I tore them. I tore those too. I can’t walk.”
Hart, who is 44 years old, playfully referred to himself as the “stupidest man alive” when questioned about his decision to race in the first place.
In response to Hart’s video, Ridley shared his perspective on his Instagram stories. Ridley humorously mentioned seeing Tom Brady, his former New England Patriots teammate, engaging in similar activities at Hart’s age.
Ridley wrote, “I SAW @TOMBRADY DO IT AT YOUR AGE SO I FIGURED YOU HAD THE JOICE TOO BIG BRO! MY BAD @KEVINHARTFOREAL! HEAL UP AND KEEP MAKING US ALL LAUGH!”
This incident follows Hart’s “major back injuries” suffered in a car crash back in 2019.
