Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has added his voice to the conversation about building a formidable entertainment industry.

Speaking in an interview with entertainment journalist Becky, the Ghanaian politician says there’s a need to do more as an industry.

“The entertainment industry needs to do more, especially the film industry. I personally believe that we need good studios so they can come up with good productions. That’s what we need.”

“We also have to encourage them to be bold and also invest in whatever production they are working on,” he explained to JoyNews’s Becky in a video posted on Facebook.

Mr. Kennedy added that quality production will go a long way to help boost the growth of the industry

“A situation where good production is always done outside, I think we need to change, we need to have nice studios like South Africa. We are human beings like everyone else and we can do it.”

The Asin Central legislator who is eying the presidency says if everything works out, he will build well-equipped studios for entertainers in Ghana.

“If I am the president of this country, I will build a nice studio for our entertainers. If you believe in Tourism you should equally believe in entertainment “

Kenedy was first elected a member of parliament in 2000 to the seat of Assin North. He retained his seat in the 2004 and 2008 parliamentary elections.
