Ghanaian entertainment personality, Eric Agyapong Mensah popularly known as Eric Toscar has fulfilled his promise of walking 5 hours around the Black Star Square.
Ahead of the Ghana versus Mozambique clash at the 2024 African Cup of Nations, Eric boldly declared he would walk for 5 hours around the Black Stars if the Black Stars football failed to win their final group game.
The game ended in a 2-2 stalemate with two late equalizers from the Mozambican team, leading to the exit of Ghana from the AFCON being held in Cote D’Ivore.
True to his words, Eric has embarked on the 5-hour walk across the four corners of the Black Star Square. Live streamed for all to see, He started his walk at 1pm GMT and ended at 6 pm.
He was supposed to do the walk barefooted but due to on-going construction work at the Independence Square, he had to put on a sneaker to avoid potential injury.
The walk became a mini gathering as fans came to the venue to watch Eric fulfill his promise and also have some fun of their own. Some fans joined in to walk along side Eric as a form of motivation.
