A woman named Fauziya “Ziya” Abashe has filed a lawsuit against internet personality Livingston Allen, known professionally as DJ Akademiks.
The lawsuit accuses Allen of rape, sexual assault, and defamation.
Abashe and Allen met online in 2021 and reportedly dated for a while. Abashe alleges that in July 2022, Allen invited her to his house in New Jersey. When she arrived, she encountered two other men she did not know. Abashe claims she was drugged, assaulted, and raped by the two men on Allen’s property.
According to the lawsuit, Abashe was later woken up by Allen who allegedly assaulted her again. Abashe said she pleaded with Allen to stop but felt physically unable to resist.
The lawsuit alleges that the following day, Allen showed Abashe what Abashe believed to be video footage of the assault and discarded condoms, suggesting she was also assaulted by the other men.
Abashe alleges that text messages between her and Allen show Allen knew she was not consenting to sex. The lawsuit also mentions that Allen requested both of them get tested for sexually transmitted infections, which Abashe found suspicious.
It’s important to note that these are just allegations in a lawsuit. DJ Akademiks has not commented on the lawsuit.
