Nollywood icon John Okafor, affectionately known as Mr. Ibu, has tragically passed away.
The beloved actor breathed his last on Saturday, March 2, 2024.
In October 2023, reports emerged of Okafor’s ailing health, prompting a call for financial support.
Subsequently, in November 2023, it was confirmed by his family that one of his legs had to be amputated due to a severe infection in the ankle arteries, a revelation shared by his former manager Emeka Chochoo.
Mr. Ibu’s demise reportedly occurred in a hospital setting.
