This is not a movie, it all happened at #OccupyJulorbiHouse protest in Accra, Ghana.
This moment right here, for me, was perhaps one of the major highlights of last night. For some context, right from the brief vigil, Stonebwoy marches into the riot control police.
The BhimNation boss pleads with the teeming crowd to hold off as his team walks the rest of the 100m journey to the officers alone.
The air is thick with tension, and hearts beat in unison with anticipation.
He is met by policeman cum gospel musician, ACP Kofi Sarpong.
And then, hundreds of impassioned youth resume their relentless march toward the barricade. Their voices rise in an unyielding crescendo, echoing through the night: “Free the youth!” They call out to power, demanding justice, challenging President Akufo-Addo to listen.
May history remember and favor all those who stood, both physically and virtually, for this cause.
It is definitely a night for the books!
