After a protracted three-year legal battle, an Accra court has reached a verdict on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, confirming that the three children of Gifty Gyan are indeed the offspring of former Black Stars player, Asamoah Gyan.

This landmark ruling concludes years of intense divorce proceedings between Asamoah Gyan and his former spouse, Gifty Gyan.

Initially, Asamoah Gyan had vehemently denied paternity of their three children, seeking an annulment of their marriage. However, the court, in its decision on October 31, 2023, established that the three children are indeed the progeny of Asamoah Gyan.

The court has subsequently ruled that Asamoah Gyan is obligated to pay Gifty Gyan a monthly sum of 25,000 Ghana cedis. This stipend is allocated for the upbringing and welfare of the three children, excluding expenses such as school fees, medical and dental care, flight tickets, and various other childcare-related costs.

As part of the divorce settlement, Asamoah Gyan’s mansion in the United Kingdom has been awarded to Gifty Gyan as compensation. Additionally, she is granted possession of a four-bedroom house located at Spintex.

Furthermore, Gifty Gyan will now have custody of two vehicles owned by Asamoah Gyan, including a BMW and an Infiniti.

The court’s ruling also entitles Gifty Gyan to a piece of land that was previously owned by Asamoah Gyan, originally intended for a filling station.

In conjunction with the divorce proceedings, the court has officially annulled the marriage between both parties. It is noteworthy that despite the dissolution of the marriage, the court’s sanctioned DNA test has conclusively confirmed the parentage of the children, which Asamoah Gyan had previously denied.
